What a loyalty program actually costs
Bring everything back to twelve months, then to the number of customers you actually track.
| Plan | Cost over 12 months | Customers included | Cost per customer per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter (€9.99 / mo) | €119.88 | 500 | €0.24 |
| Pro (€19.99 / mo) | €239.88 | 1,500 | €0.16 |
These amounts are the only ones you pay over a full year: no setup, no equipment, no cancellation fee. The cost per customer assumes the plan is filled to capacity: with 200 customers enrolled on Starter, it rises to €0.60 for the year.
The real cost of paper cards
A paper card is never free: printing the first batch, reprinting once it runs out, ink and stamps, redesigning the artwork whenever the offer changes. Work it out with your own numbers, taking your last printer's quote and dividing it by the number of cards actually handed out.
The most expensive line item never shows up on an invoice: forgotten, lost, or never-presented cards. Every missing card is an uncounted visit — a customer not moving toward their reward. A card sitting in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet doesn't get forgotten, because the phone is already in the customer's hand. We cover these comparisons in more detail on the EasyFid blog.
Cost per retained customer
Divide €119.88, a year of Starter, by your average margin per ticket: you get the number of extra visits needed over the year to cover the subscription. Before launching, set the rules of the game — points or visits, the reward, the value given at each tier: our loyalty program guide for local businesses walks through these settings.
How to choose between Starter and Pro
Three criteria are enough: the size of your customer file, how many people scan, and how much you need statistics.
1. The size of your customer base
Starter covers up to 500 customers, Pro up to 1,500. The number that matters is the total enrolled customers, not customers seen in a given month: a card once created stays in your file. A high-footfall business like a bakery fills it up far faster than a hair salon, where customers return less often with a higher basket.
2. How many people scan
Starter is built for one staff member: one person, one login. As soon as two people are ringing up sales at once, or shifts rotate staff, you need Pro and its 3 staff accounts, on top of the admin account. Everyone scans from their own smartphone.
3. Your need for statistics
Starter gives you customer management and Excel export: enough to know who's enrolled and crunch your own numbers elsewhere. Pro adds advanced customer management, advanced statistics, and priority support — enough to actively steer the program, not just run it.
Our advice: start on Starter, switch on signal
Start on Starter, unless several staff members need to scan from day one. Move to Pro at the first of these three signals: your file is approaching 500 customers, a second person needs to scan, or you have questions the Excel export can't answer.
Switching plans happens from the app, at any time. Enrolled customers, their point balances, and the cards already added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet stay exactly as they are: nothing to redistribute.
EasyFid vs. the competition
The big platforms cost far more for the same features. Here's why EasyFid is the clear choice for independent local businesses.

What's never billed on top
The listed price is the full price of the plan. Here's what it includes.
- Setup. No installation fee, no processing fee, no configuration service to pay for.
- Equipment. Nothing to buy, nothing to rent: you scan the QR code from your own smartphone.
- Your customers' cards. Every Apple Wallet and Google Wallet card issued is included, up to your plan's customer limit.
- Scans. Unlimited on both plans: a customer who visits every day costs no more than one who visits monthly.
- Updates. New features roll out with the app, no paid version to buy separately.
- Support. By email on Starter, priority on Pro. It's not an add-on to subscribe to.
- Everyday features. Automatic birthday reward, Excel export, points or visit-based program: it's all in the base subscription.
- Leaving. No cancellation fee, no minimum term, no notice period.
No paid module to unlock later, no commission on your revenue or on rewards handed out. The only difference between €9.99 and €19.99 is the one in the table above: customers, staff accounts, advanced statistics, support priority.
On the data side, the publisher is App2Niche SASU, a French company: hosting in Europe, GDPR compliance, and you remain the owner of your customer file — from the restaurant to the corner shop.
What happens when the trial ends
Fourteen days to test it with your real customers. Here's exactly how it unfolds.
- Day 0, you install. You download EasyFid and set up your program. A payment method is registered via the App Store or Google Play to activate the trial: that's a requirement of the app stores, not an initial charge.
- Days 1 through 14, you test for real. Every feature of the plan you chose is unlocked: you enroll real customers, they add their card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, you scan their QR code at checkout. Nothing is limited.
- Day 14, you decide. If you do nothing, the subscription starts at your plan's price, €9.99 or €19.99 per month. If you cancel before the 14 days are up, no charge occurs: you won't have paid anything.
- After that, you stay free to leave. Monthly billing, no commitment. Cancel whenever you like from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, with no notice period and no penalty, and your access stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
Customers enrolled during the trial don't need to be re-entered. You carry on with the same file, with the cards already installed on your customers' phones: the trial isn't a throwaway draft.
To make these 14 days count: set your reward before launching, offer the card at every checkout, then count the customers who came back a second time before the trial ends. That number, not the number of sign-ups, tells you whether the program is working.
Everything you want to know
Do my customers need to install an app?
No. Your customers install nothing. They receive their loyalty card directly in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, already present on every smartphone. That's the real advantage of EasyFid.
Are there setup or installation fees?
No hidden fees. You only pay the monthly subscription. No setup fee, no cancellation fee, no equipment to buy.
How does the 14-day free trial work?
You get access to every feature for 14 days at no cost. A payment method is registered via the App Store or Google Play to activate the trial, but you're never charged before the 14 days are up. At the end of the trial, you decide whether to continue — no pressure.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, with no notice period and no penalty. You cancel from the app or from your App Store / Play Store subscription settings. Your access stays active until the end of the current billing period.
What happens if I exceed my plan's customer limit?
You are not billed for overages and there's no automatic surcharge. When your customer file approaches your plan's cap, simply upgrade to the higher plan from the app: Starter covers 500 customers, Pro covers 1,500. Your existing customers and their point balances are kept.
Do I own my customer data?
Yes. You remain the owner of your customer file. Data is hosted in Europe and processed in compliance with GDPR by the publisher, App2Niche SASU, a French company. You can export your list to Excel at any time, on both Starter and Pro.
Can I switch from a points program to a visit-based one later?
Both modes are included in the subscription, on either plan: switching between them changes neither your price nor your offer. It's a setting of your program, not a plan change. If you're unsure how the switch affects already-enrolled customers, ask support before flipping it.
Do I need to buy equipment or a compatible card reader?
No. There's no terminal, no reader, nothing to buy or rent: you scan the customer's QR code from your own smartphone. On their side, the customer installs no app — their card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Is VAT included in the displayed prices?
The displayed prices, €9.99 and €19.99 per month, are what you're billed via the App Store or Google Play. EasyFid adds no surcharge on top. The payment receipt is issued by Apple or Google and appears in your account's purchase history.
